Privacy Policy
CleanOh (“the app”) is published by Planetlink INC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
- Your photos, videos and contacts are analyzed on your iPhone. They are never uploaded to us.
- The app contains no analytics, no advertising trackers and no account requirement. We don’t sell or share personal information.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
1. Photos and videos
After you allow access, the app reads your photo library on your iPhone to find similar and duplicate photos, blurry shots, screenshots and large videos. The results of this analysis (for example, which photos look alike) are stored only on your device.
Deleting always goes through Apple’s own confirmation. Deleted items move to “Recently Deleted” in the Photos app, where you can recover them for up to 30 days. If you use iCloud Photos, deletions also apply to your other devices that use the same iCloud account.
Video compression and Live Photo conversion save new files to your photo library on your device.
2. Contacts
If you use contact cleanup, the app reads your contacts on your iPhone to find duplicates. Before merging, it saves a backup on your device. Your contacts are never uploaded to us.
3. Private Space
Items you add to Private Space are encrypted and stored only on your device, protected by your passcode and, if you choose, Face ID. We cannot access them, and we cannot recover them if you lose both your passcode and your recovery key.
4. Email cleanup (only if you connect an account)
If you choose to connect a Gmail account, the app connects directly from your device to Google with the permissions you approve, so that it can find newsletters and promotions and move the messages you choose to Trash. Messages are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers. Your sign-in token is stored in your device’s Keychain. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in your Google Account settings.
CleanOh’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
CleanOh Pro is sold and billed by Apple. We receive transaction information from Apple (such as which plan is active and when it renews) to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your name, payment method or billing address. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
6. What we don’t do
We don’t use analytics or crash-reporting services of our own, we don’t track you across apps or websites, we don’t use your advertising identifier, and we don’t collect your location. The app does not show ads. If we ever add optional ads, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
7. Keeping and deleting data
All app data lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes its data, except files you saved to your photo library or contacts, and items in “Recently Deleted” until they expire. Apple may also keep app data in your device backups.
8. Children
CleanOh is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
9. Your rights
Because we don’t collect personal data on our servers, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question or a request, including under the GDPR or the CCPA, please contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the app.
